Vanessa Webster is the Technology in Motion Specialist for the Alabama State University Central Regional Education Inservice Center. She received her National Board Certification in Library Media in 2003 and recertified in 2013. Vanessa has a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing, Masters in Special Education and Library Media and AA certification in Administration. She has taught kindergarten through ninth grades with twenty-five years of experience. This is her sixth year providing professional development for K-12 educators as a specialist with Alabama Technology in Motion (ATIM) through Alabama State University (ASU). Vanessa believes that student engagement through project-based learning encourages students to think and act like subject-matter experts and develop skills they will use throughout their lives. Therefore, she enjoys instructing educators in producing, reviewing, and revising authentic artifacts using appropriate digital tools. When not otherwise engaged in technology training, with Technology in Motion, Vanessa enjoys camping, hiking, traveling and experiencing different cuisines.
